Credits

This page will list the credits for all the resources used for this site, at least as far as the sources are known. If you see something on this site that you believe to be your property and wish to have credit listed or to have it removed, please contact Commodore Lange. And if I've forgotten anyone, please forgive me and just drop me a quick, preferably polite, note to let me know and I'll get the problem fixed as soon as possible.
Please note some things listed in the credits are planned additions to the site or holdovers from previous RPGs I've run that are not CURRENTLY in use but will be again.

Starfleet, Marine, and Alien Race Rank insignia images
Site Name/URL:
Comments:
All of the rank pip images found on this site are either made by Steve Marriot (Webmaster of RPG-I) or are Commodore Lange's adaptations using Steve's originals. The images were originally made for use by Tango Fleet and can be obtained at the RPG-I website.

Resources:
Character images, Starship interior pics and drawings, and Technical information.
Site Name/URL:
Comments:
An excellent resource for those interested in the technical side of Trek. Also very good if you like in-depth analysis of the inconsistencies and other issues with plausibility and scientific reality.

Resources:
Character images, Starship interior drawings, Uniform images, and some Starfleet Insignia images.
Site Name/URL:
Spike's Star Trek Page; http://www.st-spike.org
Comments:
An excellent resource for uniform images and high-quality scans of the starship interiors shown in Star Trek: The Magazine (US) and Star Trek Fact Files (Europe). One thing of note, this site isn't liked by some popup blocker and firewall programs, so you may need to disable those or add the site to your safe zone to view any of the images.

Resources:
Technical data and specifications.
Site Name/URL:
Daystrom Institute Technical Library; http://www.ditl.org
Comments:
The creator of this site has put a lot of time into making good sets of specifications for all of the ships that we've seen in the series. The site is a major resource for the specifications in use by Obsidian Fleet and while all the numbers don't match, they do tend to be very close. This is also a good site to reference for easily-understood data on some of the technologies used in Trek.

Resources:
Ship images.
Site Name/URL:
Comments:
This is another excellent source for ship images. Mostly this is a forum where various 3d modelling artists showcase their works in progress and meshes, but there is also a good gallery of ship images. To access most of the features you have to sign up as a member, but it doesn't cost anything. All in all, a very good resource, especially for a few of the harder-to-find ship classes.

Ship images.

Comments:
This site only has a small selection of ships, but they have a lot of good pictures of those ships. It's long overdue for an update, but there are 4 or 5 years of image archives to browse through.

Resources:
Intrepid Class images used for Ship's Tour Directory page.
Site Name/URL:
Star Trek: Miranda PBEM; http://www.ussmiranda.com
Comments:
This is the site of a long-running, high membership PBEM sim. There is also an extensive ship database and while some of the specs are a bit fanboyish, there is also a good selection of images and ship names.

Resources:
Ship Images, Technical Information, Dedication Plaque Template
Site Name/URL:
Comments:
One of the subdomains of this site, techspecs.acalltoduty.com, is an excellent resource for in-depth specification of all the canonical Starfleet ships. It also has available PSD template to make official-looking plaques for ships, stations, and support craft.

Resources:
Map of Local Space.
Site Name/URL:
Star Trek Dimension; http://www.stdimension.net
Comments:
This site has a LOT of content, but the biggest thing is its Cartography section. The work is very well done and was even used as a source for the book Star Trek: Star Charts. Definitely worth checking out for that section alone.

Resources:
Screen Capture images of ships and characters.
Site Name/URL:
Comments:
This site has a lot of good resources and is very valuable for all Trek fans. Check out the Windows Media Player skins while you're there.

Resources:
Many, many,
many highly skilled and very devoted players.
Site Name/URL:
Comments:
This is perhaps the most important credit on the entire list. A very big thank you to all the people, past and present, who have been players on the Sentinel, the Yorktown, the Relentless, the Dragonfly before her, and before that the Kreyser, Preax, and Peacekeeper. Without all of you this site wouldn't exist because its creator wouldn't have kept simming long enough to make it. THANK YOU!

Comments:
Some of them are rude, some of them are crude, some of them are downright hilarious. No matter what your tastes, views, religion, or political affiliation, you'll find something that fits you at this site.

PADD code add-on for TRSM
Site Name/URL:
AetherTech Database; http://www.aetdatabase.net
Comments:
BIG thanks to Aether of AETDatabase.net for writing the PADD code used for the message archives and logs section. He put a lot of work into that, and then even more to make it work within the TRSM frame when it wouldn't work quite as planned outside of the frame.

TRSM system
Site Name/URL:
Trek RPG Site Manager; http://mrjohn.msshost.com/trsm
Comments:
Thanks a LOT to Nolan who wrote the TRSM system from scratch after vastly improving on the SPMS project. It eases a LOT of headaches in site management and updates. The version on this site is heavily customized from the out-of-the-box version, but nearly all the functions still work in their original form. Keep an eye on this site for the latest version hopefully coming soon.

Source Sites No Longer Online:

Resources:
Screen Captures, images, and inspiration for layout ideas.
Site Name:
Star Trek In Sound And Vision (STinSV)
Comments:
This was once the foremost source for sounds, cursors, icons, and screen-cap images on the net. Unfortunately the webmaster went overseas for a year or two and either had no interest in the site upon returning or couldn't afford to keep it running. It was at http://www.stinsv.com, so if you feel lucky check back once and again to see if it re-appears.

Resources:
Insignias and animated gifs.
Site Name/URL:
Commander Tomalak's Trek Animations
Comments:
It's been said that Tomalak has only shut down temporarily. Only time will tell. The site was on Tripod so it may reappear there or somewhere better in the future.

Resources:
Ship images.
Site Name/URL:
Star Trek Australia; http://www.startrekaustralia.com
Comments:
NOTE: THIS SITE HAS BEEN OFFLINE SINCE FEBRUARY OF 2006
This is an excellent source for ship images. There are multiple images for nearly all the canon ship classes and many of the popular non-canon classes. There are also meshes of many designs available here for the 3d artist.
