Appearance William DeKere is 190 cm high and weights 85 kg. He has black hair and blue eyes and no discernable marks. Always in good shape, he has an intense look that normally unsettles people.
Personality William is a difficult man to understand because in moments he's cold and professional and other times he's passionate, almost incontrollable. It's his intensity to make decisions and his coolness in the heat of a crisis that makes him a solid person someone can count in. William is a former pilot and as such, can't avoid being somewhat arrogant and cocky.

He was married twice. One married failed and the other is going in that direction. His obsession about find his parents' murder can make somewhat intense. Still, he's an easy going person. He knows his appearance attracts women and that confidence makes him shameless when dealing with women.

His obssession regarding his parents murder can, sometimes cloud his judgement. His ego sometimes makes him a very hard man to live with. Still, he does his duty without thinking twice. A bit straightforward when dealing with people, sometimes can be stubborn.

Deep down, he wants to get Starfleet resources to help him catch the ones that murdered his parents. After that, he only wants to fly. Never Considered taking a command.

Background William DeKere came from a distinguished family. His father was a philosophy teacher and his mother a scientist. Both were highly educated and they passed along all that knowledge to him. His parents stimulated to choose any career he wanted. He wanted to be a pilot.

His mother worked in the Daystrom Institute, being the leading scientist in Dyson Spheres and similar phenomena. She was a great mother and a genius. From her, William learned how to observe and make analytical decisions.

His father was a famous philosopher. A man with intense culture and love for the arts. He never thought less of his son when William told him about being a pilot. Fabian DeKere tought his son everything he could about life.

Tragedy finally hit the DeKere family. William's parents shuttle was sabotaged and they died in a rather vicious crash during in the o

William was 15 at the time and the only reason he could found for his parents murder was his mother's work with Dyson Spheres. There were a lot of people that wanted that research. He vowed on their graves that would find the killer. He spent the rest of his youth learning all he needed to investigate the crime. That eventually, took him to Starfleet.
Service Record He joined Starfleet academy and at first his training was specific to fly fighters. The fighters had all that magic and charm. He proved himself to be excellent flying fighters, turning to be something of a legend in the academy after the beat the fighter simulation scenario considered unbeateable. Without telling anyone, William changed the focus of his studies and started studying to fly Starsihps. He never explained why the change, but some colegues suspected the fact of it would be faster to get a command flying a starship than a fighter.

William finished in the top five percent in Starship Navigation and Science. He took the command classes, but flying was his major.

He was first assigned to the USS Saturn as a helm officer, where he met his first wife, Carla. They got married and after three years married, they got divorced. She claimed that he was cold as stone and he claimed that she wanted the impossible: Make him quit Starfleet and start a family.

When a posting opened to Assistant Chief Helm officer on the USS Ontario, William took the position with enthusiasm. In the Ontario, he met his second wife, Sylvia. Again, they married quickly and spent the next five years together. When the chance to get the Chief Helm came, William readily accepted, despite the fact that would put him away from his wife. She didn'T accept the idea well.

He transferred to the USS Antares and they got separated for several months until William pleaded to her to transfer to the Antares and she accepted.

Not after that, William got promoted to First Officer, a thing that for him was a total surprise, but it made him determined to prove his worth.
